The tooth is out!!!

I couldn't stand it any longer. I pulled that sucker. She was surprised that it didn't hurt at all. She is now more concerned with how much money she will get. She says it's a prized possession seeing as how it was her first tooth. What a money miser.

So, like I said a few posts ago, my daughter decided it wasn't cool to have a hole in her mouth. So, her big teeth came in first behind her baby teeth. We were talking about why she didn't want me to pull her tooth, as it was aggravating the snot out of me, and she said it was cause she didn't think a hole in your mouth was cute. So, I reminded her she wouldn't have a hole, as her big teeth have already come in, so she had an "Oh yeah!!" moment and told me to yank it.

And that is what I did. It literally took about 2 seconds. The hardest part was getting the thread tied. After that, easy peasy.

I wasn't really sure what to do with the tooth. I mean, this is my first experience with something like this! I don't really remember what my mom did with my teeth. So, I got an index card, and wrote as detailed as I could:

Wiggly for 2 weeks
Pulled by mommy at 9pm.

LOL  I'm sure I really didn't need THAT much detail, but just in case!

Did I mention she is trying to hustle $10 for that sucker? I told her that all mommies get to keep the first tooth. She was anxious to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy. So, now she is trying to raid my wallet. She said I could keep it for $30. I told her for $30, I could go buy a new tooth myself. So, she settled on $10.

Anyway, I've had much too much excitement for one night, so I'm gonna go hit the bed.. before all my money disappears.

9 weeks pregnant!

So, I have a new obsession. Pinterest. I'm addicted to following this one super cute new mommy. She did the cutest lil chalkboard announcements every week saying what her baby was the size of. Adorbs!!!! She is my pregnancy idol, with her cute lil tiny self. I will sit here and be jealous of her smallness, as I eat this icecream. ;)

Please excuse the lighting.. it was stormy outside and my inside lights were not cooperating!

This week... our baby is the size of a GRAPE, weighs a fraction of an ounce and is almost 1" long.

How far along? 9 weeks, 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: loss of 2 pounds!
Maternity clothes? I bought 2 maternity shirts that I LOVE, but for the most part I am totally in love with my sweats and stretchy pants.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: In the late afternoon I get pretty tired, but sleep great at night still. However, last night I had some pretty intense back pain and I couldn't lay on my tummy.
Best moment this week: My morning sickness seems to have gone away.. *fingers crossed*  I feel like I will gain at least 10 pounds this week. I have literally eaten myself silly.
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Toasted tuna sammich from Subway :(
Movement: Not yet
Food cravings: Fruit cups with cool whip and cheese sandwiches. Yep. Just cheese and bread.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I still can't take things out of the oven, and mexican food makes me wanna yak.
Have you started to show yet: I feel like I am bloated beyond recognition. But, I do have a pudge. It's not a cute one either.
Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! And tired! And emotional!
Looking forward to: Getting a bigger bump & finding out the gender! :)  Oh, and keeping the morning sickness away!!!
Anything new?: Actually, yes. I had my first pregnancy headache this week, and it just about killed me. I'm pretty sure I died.

Next Appointment: March 8. I'll be 11 weeks then, and I'm not really sure what will happen at that visit. I have already had 3 ultrasounds.

Yes, 3. The first one was to confirm I was indeed preg. I had some weird, crampy pains so they did an u/s to make sure things were ok. We saw a little sac!
The 2nd was a week later on Feb 1st. It looked like a peanut! This is when they said I was 6 days earlier than I expected.
3rd, was one week later (Feb 9) to confirm how far along I was. At that time, I was 7 weeks and 1 day. It had grown quite a bit!

I doubt I will get another u/s on the 8th when I go. I hope I do, though, because I am anxious to see the baby actually look like a baby, and not a peanut!

First loose tooth!!

Ok, my baby is growing up! We have our first loose tooth! Well, actually she has 2 of them, but one is so stinking loose, it is literally sitting crooked!

My daughter decided she didn't want to be toothless, so she literally started growing her 2 permanent teeth first, THEN her 2 bottom teeth became wiggly. I think people call this shark teeth?

She won't let me pull her oh-so-wiggly-tooth, so I have to hear her complain everytime she eats! I keep telling her it will only take 2 seconds, but alas... she thinks it will be the most excruciating pain imaginable.

I told her stories of when I was little, my big brother would tie string to mine and pull them out... so now she wants Uncle Ricky to come pull hers out too. I'm assuming his pull method would be less painful than mine?

I have tried to get her to eat chewy things, offered her $10 AND tried to pull it out in her sleep, and none of these things works. Actually, the sleep method almost got me kicked in the face. Yep.

Not sure how many others have experienced "shark tooth," but apparently it is common. Her dentist said those 2 front ones would eventually fall out and the permanent ones that have already sprouted, will take their place.

We will see.

I should just leave them alone, but they are bothering the crap outta me! I want the stinkin wiggly tooth out of her mouth so she can quit complaining and eat!

Here's a pic!  You can see for yourself!!

Jaida's 6 year old portraits

Today was such a beautiful day!!! It was in the 80's!! I figured I would take advantage of the day, and take my daughter's 6 year old pictures.... since I haven't done that yet. I really needed one to add to her school year shot for first grade. She was such an amazing model!! Aside from the sun in her eyes and the wind going nuts, we got some pretty amazing pictures. It kinda makes me miss doing photography... I just don't have any time to do it anymore. Between pregnancy, my school, homeschooling J, working 40 hours a week, dance class AND co-op class, my time is pretty limited. Plus, being pregnant has made me a complete lazy slob. Seriously!! Anyone who knows me knows I can't stand a dirty house or dirty laundry and I am no where near lazy. However, lately I have not wanted to do anything! I'm surprised I have managed to feed myself.

Anyway, here are the pictures I took earlier!  I hope you guys enjoy! I have the prettiest model in the world!! I love her!!!
